    GUÉLIZ. The district of Gueliz got its name from the Jbel Gueliz, a low mountain situated in the northwest part of the old medina and it was the first neighbourhood on the exterior of the walls. Articulated around the current Avenue Mohammed V, which links Square Foucault and Bab Nkob to the Jbel Gueliz, the area of Gueliz includes many banks and shops of Marrakech. The old market of Guéliz has recently turned into a commercial gallery. In the imposing Marrakech Plaza situated in front of the post, square of November 16, you will be finding soon many European fashion brands and shops.

    Ligging ten opzicht van het centrum van Marrakech is Prima. Voor 50 Dirham kun je met de taxi de stad in of uit. Laat je afzetten bij het Cinema Le Collise. Dat werkte prima!
    Bij binnen komst in het appartement viel het erg tegen. Het aanrecht stond vol afwas en het rook er erg onaangenaam. Het water was afgesloten dus we konden niet douchen! Na een lange reis was dat wel lekker geweest. Verder leek het of de eigenaar/beheerder in een van de bedden had geslapen. Hij heeft nog schone lakens neergelegd nadat wij aan hadden gegeven dat het smerig was! Verder waren de vloeren smerig je kon er niet met blote voeten lopen zonder dat deze zwart werden. De douche was smerig. haren in de putjes wasbak niet schoon en de kitrand van het bad meer zwart dan wit. Wij waren er 6 dagen en voor iedereen één handdoek! En verder geen keukendoeken en theedoeken. Water koker was niet te gebruiken ontzettende stank. De eigenaar gaf aan het eind aan dat we €20,00 meer hadden moeten betalen dan had hij het schoon gemaakt. Hoe had hij dat moeten doen zonder water. Overigens hadden we al €20,00 meer betaald!!We kregen nog vier flessen water ter compensatie! Bij de sleutel overdracht aan het einde van de 6 dagen kwam de portier van de gebouwen om de sleutel op te halen omdat wij denken dat de eigenaar wel wist dat niet goed zat!

    Clean, spacious, fantastic value for money. The district is safe with good local food surrounding you. Owner is a real gentleman. I would use this again. Can sleep 6-8 people!! Safe. Airport bus stops outside. No19 and costs 30Dhs/person.
    Air conditioning only in main living room but 4 people can sleep on LARGE sofas. This does not matter if you are used to the heat but being a Scot...........Nothing else negative - a happy week in Marrakech

    The flat in GUELIZ CENTRE MARRAKECH was very spacious, comfortable, clean and well-equiped. We were warmy welcomed. Great location (bus into centre just outside) fairly quiet, safe area. Would certainly use this flat again, highly recommended
    No negative points although a few extra clothes hangers are always welcome! :)

    The owner was very friendly, he went out of his way to provide support on arrival. Excellent location.
    Equipment basic. Electrics, very few plug points, some did not look and feel safe.

    This apartment was actually exactly what was shown in the picture. It was very large, comfortable, and well equipped. I highly recommend renting apartments in stead of hostels and hotels and will be doing more of it in the future!
